   24/7 Wall St. provides that one of the things that Talbot County a great place to leave is the relatively low poverty rate; only 8.7% of the 32,000 people who call Talbot County home live below the poverty line. 13.3% of people live below the poverty line of the entire nation. They credit this claim to the presence of a strong job market within the county, only 6.3% of the labour force is out of work as of January 2021. And as everything has a cause and effect, the decreased poverty rates make for an increased life expectancy. Sitting at a life expectancy of 81.4 years, Talbot County is two years above the national average, due to better security and health care.

   The 24/7 Wall St. index took these statics, plus the percentage of adults about the age of 25 with a bachelor's (40.6% in Talbot), and comprised a list of the top 150 counties to live in, in the U.S. Out of 3,006 counties, Talbot County ranked number 142, making this a great place to live.
